Read here.

Follow this guide so you don’t have to enter the description texts again!

Note: Take a document type at a time
(for example,. Drawings ACC. to the example below)

  1. In the document tree, navigate to the build action/X/Drawings, select the dom files to be relational documents and put them in the document bin.
  2. Go to document and highlight all the files and click on “Create Excel”
  3. Save the Excel file on your hard disk and open it.
  4. In column (C), replace the text Construction Act to relationship in all the lines. Note: check spelling in some project called the Relationship documents.
  5. Save then Excel file as a CSV (comma delimited) (*.csv) “with a clear name. The CSV file must be in the same folder on your computer where you have the files you prepared as relationsfiler. Note: the files should have the same name as both bra and RH.

Answer Yes when the box comes up:

and then close the Excel file without saving: (don’t save)
  6.  If you then add the files to Apricon so use: Save/Import from file
and then choose the csv file you created earlier.
  7. Make sure to adjust the date and remove ev. Rev-designation for all files before you press save. In this way you will get with you the description text you entered at each build action file without having to rewrite the text.

Little book about BIM http://apricon.se/little-book-about-bim/ Mon, 27 Aug 2012 07:30:46 +0000 http://blog.apricon.se/?p=365

Little book of Bim is really a great book because it is in a very humble way showing what BIM is. All that talk about BOS probably has their own idea of what BIM is and here comes this little writing in and in a simple and easily understandable way bone up what BIM is and what BOS could become.

It also argues in a good way why we all work with the built environment must be bimmare.

  • Where are we in the process?
  • What can we do to BIM to work all the way?
  • Read the book and get you food for thought!
