Changuinola Hydro Power Plant in Panama

Pnet is used for the second time in a large hydropower project in Panama. This time it is an international consortium ”Consorcio Gavilan” consisting of P a/s and MTHöjgaard from Denmark and France’s ALSTOM.

Swedish Vattenfall Power Consultant is also working in the project, as they were the last time Pnet was used in Panama. In the early 2000s Skanska built the hydroelectric plant on the Rio Civil Engineering a Esti HPP. The new power plant will generate 220 MW and is expected to be in operation by 2011. The client is AES Changuinola.

Pnet is used to create a common communications platform for an international project group working across different time zones.
