Skanska builds in the Glassworks at Limhamn

Sofia Wäborg, project manager at Skanska’s new home, is happy for the mission and has great confidence in the project despite concern about a deteriorating housing market.

-It will run during that long period of time, through both low and economic boom. With its proximity to the Marina in Limhamn, beach, green recreational areas and at the same time, biking distance to Malmö ‘s downtown area will remain attractive and unique, “said Sofia Wäborg.

Skanska will build around 160 Street House and 200 condominiums for a period of seven to ten years. Pnet is used during the design phase and implementation phase.

-Pnet’s tools are helpful in communicating with the project team and to deal with drawings, reports and documents, “said Sofia Wäborg.

Limhamns marina and old industrial environment is preserved and will reflect off of the area. The modern housing rights will be at the pier with sea views while the cosy Street House area is to be built at the dock walk inside with partial ocean view and a view of the Green limhamnsfältet. In the first phase built 29 Street House with roof terrace and small associated garden. The houses have high standard, open-plan living and authentic materials. All the homes will meet higher demands for energy conservation than BBR. There are also efforts to develop an even stronger green profile with alternative sources of energy and more energy-saving measures in buildings. Sofia Wäborg estimates that migration can take place in the latter half of 2010.
